I made the mistake of trying to go south towards the Sawtelle district (craving Ramen) around 5pm on a weekday. LACOT October Meetup – Los Angeles
Our latest LACOT meetup was at Hotel Wilshire conveniently located on "Miracle Mile" next to "Museum Row" and minutes from the popular Grove Shopping Center. Hanging out in Los Angeles
It is always a thrill to be able to see how fast one can get around town on the freeways in Los Angeles. I love freeway hopping especially when the traffic is light. The mission of this latest trip to town was to find my great great grandfather's grave in Forest Lawn. In that regard, I failed miserably. Got into LAX on Friday afternoon and it was so cold as I stood outside waiting for the Flyaway bus I could see my breath. The fog persistently hung next to this part of the coast most of the day while the inland was much much warmer. Classic California micro climates for you! Rode in to town on the 5 on the inspirational wings of Don MaClean's American Pie blasting away on KRTH 101.1 FM.
