Aberdeen Resort is located about 15 miles north of Independence (about one mile north of the 395 Highway rest area). As you get close to the resort, you might spot donkeys roaming about. During one visit they came right up to us ‘begging’ for food by putting their cute face through our rolled down car windows. This relaxing ‘oasis’ is surrounded by greenery in the heart of the often dry Owens Valley. Located along Goodale creek there is plenty of fishing for the young ones and those young at heart. Like up and down the 395 in this part of the Owens Valley, there are great views of the Sierra Nevada.
Features an RV Park, Mobile Home park and a very affordable restaurant serving lunch and dinner. Open seasonally from April through the end of September. Also a store on site for additional provisions.
