I never really thought of myself as a travel journalist until an in-flight magazine commissioned me to write about the La Geria wine region in Lanzarote. Despite the fact the very same mag had already run an article of mine about surfing on Gran Canaria. After all, that kind of fitted in with my past life as a sports journalist in the UK which took in deputy editorship of the Official Chelsea magazine. |
