Default Is it safe to travel with pets by plane?

I want to take my 2 small dogs with me to England and we would be flying from NY.

Have any of you had experiences flying with pets?
Is it risky for my dogs? I would most likely to travel directly, no stops along the way.

    any thoughts?
    Thank you for the answers.

I suggest you call the airlines ahead of time and ask them about their pet care. Also, go online to see who has the best rating for taking care of pets during flight. Traveling with animals usually isn't a problem.

I've traveled with pets (two dogs) many times. It's perfectly safe. They are put in a cargo area that's pressurized just like the cabin. I've never had a problem. You may wish to sedate your pet if you have a nervous traveler. But I feel much better about my pets not traveling with me in the cabin, because not everyone loves your pet as much as you.

I have travelled with my kitten and I got fed up with it. I found really hard to manage the tour with my kitten. So, I would say better not to carry your pets while travelling.

Here's a tip! Before any of the other procedures for pet travel are carried out, your pet must be fitted with a microchip so it can be properly identified.
