Thirty wineries are represented offering their pre-release wines and large format bottles, and culinary pairings are … [Read more...]

Feria de Sevilla
On November 16, 2010 UNESCO declared the Flamenco World Cultural Heritage, to be more precise it was declared to one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity and I could not think of a more respectable acknowledgment. The Flamenco is a hallmark for Spanish culture, especially for the south of Spain, and goes far beyond music and dance. Some would call it a way of life or an attitude. Dinner & Dancing: Brazil
This is a guest post from Rachel who runs Central Coast Foodie in San Luis Obispo, California USA. In regards to her mention of Capirinhas - we've been making those this week and using Germana, a traditional Brazilian Cachaca. Perhaps this is too strong a Cachaca, it certainly doesn't taste like the awesome ones I had down in Sao Paulo - if anyone has other recommendations let us know? This drink sure requires a lot of sugar! *** Happy Mardi … [Read more...]
GranMonte Vineyards, All in the Family
After returning from Brunei and a quick day of rest we set out for the jungles of Khao Yai National Park and part of Thailand's "wine trail". GranMonte Vineyards located in the heart of the small Asoke Valley was the highlight of our day. This winery was founded by Thai couple Visooth and Sakuna Lohitnavy. Their daughter Visootha (or Nikki) is Thailand's first female winemaker (only in her 20's, she has many harvests ahead of her). The entire … [Read more...]

They find the relationships they create a big part of their year here, not to mention the amazing food and … [Read more...]
Enjoying the Cuisine
Mosaic restaurant is the "signature" restaurant at Zitahli resort. Each day we pop in for lunch and every lunch we order a Brazilian Capirinha. I fell in love with this drink after visiting Brazil in 09' and purposely seek it out when there is a bar at hand. Needless to say, seafood is a big part of the menu and its not often you can catch your own fish, fresh from the ocean the day before and have a fancy restaurant prepare it as your lunch. we … [Read more...]
