Those that do speak tell us- “It’s not too late to turnaround.” “Too much for me!” “Wow, you’re carrying a lot of camera gear!” Those that don’t speak are either shy or gasping for oxygen as they struggle, pause and continue their hike up the steep switchbacks to exit Carlsbad Caverns. Then- BAM! A wooden lance strikes armor, wood splinters fly and both knights are layed-out on the ground. I hear a member of the audience ask someone, &#8220;Ya think this is fake?&#8221; This is asked as the wobbly knights stand up, wood splinters from the lances are scattered on the ground and the sand and dirt pour from the suits of armor. It is a performance, some of it may be &#8216;battle-acting&#8217;, but falling off a horse? A Renaissance [&#8230;]</p>

Research and Planning For several years we spoke of visiting the Grand Canyon, but never made time for the trip. Many barriers, some real and some self-imposed, prevented the trip from occurring.
