JS – thanks for the recommendation of the Phú Quốc Kim 2 Beach Front Resort. That place looks lovely! I’m ready for a beach front stay – but first heading up to Chiang Rai in a couple of weeks.

Virginia – if you have some experience with scooters, I would say definitely do the scooter. It gives you a lot of freedom to explore the island on your own. I wouldn’t necessarily jump on a scooter in Phu Quoc if you have never ridden one before. The traffic in town can be bad and difficult to deal with in addition to learning how to ride a scooter for the first time.

The airport price example was wild, $28 for a small pho, soft drink, and tart, then only $4 to $5 taxi rides into town. That contrast made your Phu Quoc tips feel very practical.
