I worked for tbls for a few years in Spain. The last tour I did for them (which was when I decided to quit due to their shady business practices) was when I had two American couples; the main complaint was that I called one of the men Robert instead of Bob…..another complaint from him was that I did not take them along the coastal road to the north…there was NO coastal road! So as soon as I receive my payment I quit. They write tons of false reviews in many publications.

Traveling is exciting, but sharing the journey with the right person can make it even more meaningful. If you’re looking to Find a Travel Buddy online, the process is easier than ever thanks to modern apps, social platforms, and travel communities.

The first step is choosing the right platform. Travel-focused communities like Couchsurfing allow you to connect with travelers worldwide, while apps such as Travello and Tourlina are designed specifically to match people based on destination and travel style. Social media groups on platforms like Facebook also host thousands of travel buddy requests daily.

Once you join a platform, create a detailed and honest profile. Share your destination, travel dates, budget range, interests, and preferred pace of travel. The more specific you are, the easier it will be to attract compatible travel partners. Uploading clear photos and verifying your profile can also increase trust.

Communication is key before committing to a trip. Schedule a video call to discuss expectations, accommodation preferences, daily plans, and spending habits. Make sure your personalities and travel goals align. It’s smart to start with a short trip or meet in a public place if possible before planning a long international journey together.

Safety should always come first. Avoid sharing sensitive personal information too quickly, and inform family or friends about your plans. Trust your instincts—if something feels off, it probably is.

Finding a travel buddy online takes a bit of research and patience, but it can lead to shared adventures, reduced costs, and lifelong friendships. With the right approach, your next trip could be both safe and unforgettable.

Is there a particular area or landmark in Paris that interests you most?

Interesting to come across this post from 2020. Holi is always a meaningful time for sharing good wishes. A simple Hindi greeting like ‘Holi ki hardik shubhkaamnayein’ still goes a long way. It’s nice to see people keeping the tradition of sending warm messages during the festival.

Thanks for the info! I’ve seen more travellers choosing serviced apartments in Bangkok, especially for longer stays. For shorter visits, there are still plenty of convenient hotels around the city too, it just depends on what someone needs.

Rwanda is organized and easier for permits, Uganda feels wilder and more adventurous, and DRC is off-the-beaten-path but trickier logistically. It depends if you want convenience, adventure, or seclusion.
