If you want to travel to the Caribbean, it’s worth looking on websites to get more information before you go. For photos of the Dominican Republic, particularly the North Coast, try http://www.sosuatoday.com.
What is the most tranquil part of the Caribbean to visit and at what time of the year?
My brother traveled in the Dominican Republic not too long ago and he found it extremely easy to travel. He rented a car – great beaches and friendly people.
I’ve also found the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to be pretty nice – especially the Xcalak area just north of the Belize border.
I have friends who rave about the diving and beautiful water on the Island of Bonaire and also Roatan (just off the northern Honduras coast).

I am a new member on this Forum, live in the Dominican Republic. The entire Island is actually very nice, Los Terranas is a nice area, Sosua and Cabarete beach are also nice, more for the younger crowd with great Kiteboarding, wind surfing and other beach activities. The mountains, where I live are where you would go for white water rafting, Horseback riding, Gold panning and adventures of that sort. Its a friendly country, so enjoy it all.:)
