This just came across my desk from the Society of American Travel Writers and wanted to post it in case any travel writers/journalist are interested.

The 2012-2013 Lowell Thomas Travel Journalism Competition is now open for entries.

All information for the 29th annual competition sponsored by the Society of American Travel Writers Foundation is at our website, http://www.satwf.com.

We have made a few changes, so please look carefully at the Introduction for updates before proceeding to the Rules and Categories.

Note: The deadline is April 1, 2013. Entries must be RECEIVED by that date. The eligibility period for most categories is March 19, 2012, through March 24, 2013. Some categories vary from that, so check carefully. Entries still go to the journalism school at UNC-Chapel Hill, which is handling the judging.
