Making money for really long tours

Aloha,

I prefer travelling for several months at the time, but until recently I was always running out of money way to soon.

Now I have found out that I can create websites with advertisments and let them make money for me while travelling. I’m thereby able to continue travelling for as long as I want (if I go somewhere cheap like SE Asia, since I don’t make more than $500 a month).

There are a number of blogs that have been able to monetize their sites, direct ads, widgets and pay per click throughs. Nerdy Nomad is a pretty good one, she’s been able to travel and volunteer while monetizing her site pretty well based on her traffic:
