No Spam policy

Just a note that spam will not be tolerated. There are a number of users that try to flood the boards with non travel related products for sale and other multiple self serving posts. The boards are meant for information sharing, not for product sales. I keep a very close eye on all the boards and never approve any spam posts.

I keep getting PM’s that are blank. I have a feeling that they are SPAM and users who are trying to upload viruses through links. I’ve gotten these spam emails on other forums. Usually it says that my computer is at risk and I need to go to a certain link to clean it before continuing on the forums. I can send you the user names although I’m thinking they’re sending them to everyone.

Sinclair – I have the posting options locked down so much that I need to approve all posts (as well as other security features I have implemented). Its amazing the types of spam and in such volume at times that these idiots think they can flood the message boards with. That doesn’t fly here.

Thanks for bringing the PM’s to my attention – I have not yet looked at how I can lock down the PM options – if you have some user names, please forward as a PM to my davestravel account here (using the message boards). If you need my email, you can pull it off of the about us page – thanks again for your posts and for mentioning this 🙂
