Greetings from Ghana atm – just got an email today about an interesting trip. If anyone is interested post back here and I’ll hook you up with Sergey who is planning this trip starting Sept/Oct of 2010. He’s looking for someone relatively quickly so he can commit on this ….

I’m looking for some intrepid travelers to join me on a long-term stint around eastern Africa. Let me briefly outline what I have in mind. I’ve been wanting to explore the amazing continent of Africa for some time now. Just recently I was offered a fantastic opportunity to drive a fully equipped (mini fridge, camping equipment, specialized tires, etc) 4×4 from Cape Town to London. To make a long story short, I know a couple of guys who are currently driving this car from London to Cape Town; In order to save on the costs of shipping the car back (it’s illegal to sell it in SA, and it costs thousands to ship) they were looking for someone to drive it back to London for

them (for a very reasonable “hire” fee). The adventures that this presents
    are of epic proportions.

    Here are some details:

Start date: Around end of Sept, beginning of October of this year

Route: Cape Town to London via eastern route and Middle East

    Duration: 10 – 12 months

Hire fee: $4000 (split among all travelers, and also still negotiable)… this
could be as little as $5 a day per person.

    Car: Toyota LandCruiser

I would prefer to do this drive with a good bunch of interesting people.
Unfortunately most my interesting friends are either taking out huge mortgages,
having babies or are much more interested in climbing corporate ladder rather
than mountains. Naturally, not everyone (in fact, not anyone that I know) is
ready to take off for a year and travel in Africa.

    Regards,

    Sergey

These information given by you is really nice, awesome, I think that Africa is hot and dusty with rolling grasslands and huge herds of animals and tall, thin people who are starving. Africa is the only continent you can love—take advantage of this. If you are a man, thrust yourself into her warm virgin forests, I hope that many people will really like to visit Africa, and really enjoy.
