For all you travellers out there, we would like you to give an opinion about this Topic.

Are our Governments using Travel Restrictions, Bans and Advise as Political Tools?

Is the Travel Ban on Kenya justified?
    if so
Why was there never a Travel Ban after 9/11 on NY?

Why do Western Countries “punish” Third World Countries?

There is a Big Debate going on at the Forum of the Vision Hotel Group, and we would love to have your comments and thoughts.

Either post your replies here or come to the http://www.vision-hotels.com site to participate.

    Thanking you in advance.

    Regards,

    Michiel Fortuin

    Re: Travel ban to Kenya.
I have relatives and friends living in Kenya. They believe that life goes on mostly as usual. My parents planned a group trip on 9/18 and of course everyone panicked and bailed after 9/11. Their reason for the trip was the group so they postponed. Otherwise, as my Father said, “The rest of the world has always had this sort of experience. America is just now realizing that the world is unsafe”. Kenya has had some problems on the Northeast border(friends of mine lost everything a couple years ago) but it seems to be quieter now. Some of the aid groups that left then are moving back. Also, the bombings at the coast was horrific, but my friends have made several trips since then with no problems. Some of us who have lived in Kenya and other countries in Africa are more nervous in US cities-New York, for example. I think cautious awareness is the key. And a certain amount of refusing to let the bad guys dictate where we go!!! Personally, I would go tomorrow, ban or no ban if I had tickets and a little extra $$$$.
