We’re a married couple that were recently pursuing the “American Dream.” We were in the process of purchasing a condo in Chicago but we bailed last minute to travel the world. We’ve decided to take a break from our careers for 8-10 months to pursue our favorite hobby – travel. This is OUR American Dream.

I’m Hayden — I am a backpacker, solo traveller and amateur photographer. In a previous career I was an engineer working in Perth, Western Australia. Now I am trying to make my way in the world as a travel writer and blogger.

I’m Tasha, a kiwi with an incurable case of wanderlust. Though, I haven’t always been this way, rewind back to 2014, I was a university student who was just so over life, that was until I traveled abroad for the first time summer of 2015. It was the moment when everything changed and I gave up my parents idea of the perfect job to concentrate on myself and what made me happy.

This is the brainchild of Jona Branzuela Bering, a published travel writer and photographer from Cebu, Philippines. Backpacking with a Book started as a repository of her published articles, poems, and other literary- related marvels. But a good part of 2015, she started taking her blog seriously, and now considered BWAB as a platform for discussion on places, peoples, and cultures.

Im Neil, hi! I live in London, west london to be precise. I currently work the 9-5 but spent a few years after university traveling and backpacking, and still take every opportunity i get to see the globe. I’m not happy unless i have at least 4 holidays a year.

Two guys from Central Florida who enjoy adventure and discovery on the backroads. We prefer taking the scenic route, finding out-of-the-way historical sites, and local flavor in hole-in-the wall cafes and guesthouses. Budget travel and economy are definite factors in trip planning, but we are not afraid to splurge occasionally.
