My father and I are bored of our same-old same-old life in Canada, we love change and we love travel. I brought up the idea of moving to South Africa to him, and what I need to know is, is it a good idea? What I love about South Africa is the rich culture, fine food, exotic animals and warm people. I was also thinking of Cape Town, although I’ve heard that there is a very high crime rate there. 52 deaths per 1000 people or something around there.

What I would like to know is how much would it cost to move there, what is the process and what city is the best to live in? My father and I love action, adventure and a diverse society. I also know that 1 Canadian dollar equals nearly 8 African Rands, so a 2 000 000 dollar home (which is beautiful) would cost only 250 000 Canadian, which is absolutely ridiculous!
