The Holiday Transfers team really feel that there is no other place like it, and more and more people every single year are arriving at the Catalan capital to soak up the culture, history and lifestyle for themselves.

As we are sure you will know, something else that the city of Barcelona has to be proud of its world-beating football team. FC Barcelona are, without a doubt, one of the greatest powers in the football world, with more La Liga titles, Champion’s League wins and astronomically talented players over the course of its history than you can count. Even if you are not somebody who keeps up with the world of football, names like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Andres Iniesta are names that have surpassed the sporting universe and transcended in to every single household across the globe. With Messi repeatedly referred to as the greatest football player of all time, it would be fair to say that to experience a Barcelona match with their current team on the field is not only a great way to pass two hours, but also a moment that you will be able to look back on in history and be able to say, “I was there to see the greatest of all time on the pitch”.

With FC Barcelona being one of the most successful and richest football clubs in the world, it gives the opportunity to buy the very best players and assemble the very best squad season after season. Their most recent high profile signing, Philip Coutinho, transferred from Liverpool for a massive £142 million. This marks the beginning of yet another chapter of inevitable success for the Catalan giants, and with Coutinho set to light La Liga on fire in the coming weeks and months, a visit to the city in 2018 is an absolute must.

The beautiful combination of the city of Barcelona and the football team that it boasts makes the Catalan capital an absolutely perfect vacation destination not only for families but for couples and groups of friends who might have different interests and want to do varying activities while on holiday. After taking a tour around the famous Nou Camp stadium, you can then move on to enjoy a visit to the stunning Sagrada Familia, a Gaudi designed masterpiece that is a true landmark of the city.

There really is something for everyone in Barcelona, whether you prefer to watch the silky skills of Leo Messi or take in the sublime architectural design and vision of Gaudi in Park Guell. There’s also beautiful beaches, a bustling port area and a highly diverse food scene. You can’t visit Barcelona without taking a stroll along Las Ramblas or attending one of the legendary nightclubs, like Pacha.

Come for the irresistible football and stay for everything else that Barcelona has to offer, from the food to the weather to the history and beyond.
