Be it a vacation, honeymoon or adventure trip, Kerala has lots to offer to its visitors. The tourist places vary from beaches, dams, hill stations, and backwaters to wildlife sanctuaries, each place providing entertainment in its own way.

Among the many beaches in Kerala, Bekal beach is one that has always lured tourists. It is about 16 km from Kasaragod town. Another major attraction is the Bekal fort close by, that offers a beautiful view of the Bekal beach.

Another attractive long golden beach is the Cherai beach that is located in Vypin Island and is 15 kms long. The beach is located at a distance of 25 kms from Ernakulam city and is clean and shallow. Recently declared as a tourist spot, the Cherai beach has facilities for sunbathing and swimming. With proper maintenance and safety measures like trained security round the clock, it is suitable for people from all walks of life. It is among the rare places where the lagoon and sea are separated by only a few hundred meters. Barring the rainy season, one can visit the beach at any time of the year.

Marari is yet another beach that derives its name from Mararikulam, which is a small village in Kerala. Here one gets to see the life of local fishermen for whom the sea is their lord. Men go for fishing in the morning while the ladies perform their day to day chores. There are a number of soft sand beaches that can dazzle anybody and make them forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It holds a vast expanse of water, land and numerous palm trees that can make one feel rejuvenated.

    Hi..:)
Kerela has a 600 km long shoreline dotted with some of the finest, most charming beaches of the world, coconut groves, natural harbors, lagoons and sheltered coves. All of it as peaceful as the rest of the land, washed by the pleasant tropical sun and as pristine as ever.
    Kovalam beach :
This internationally renowned beach resort of Kerela has been a favorite haunt of tourists since the 1930s. Kovalam consists of three adjacent crescent beaches. The southernmost , known as the Lighthouse beach, is the most popular, Kovalam offers accommodation options to suit all the budgets.

    Poovar Beach :
Poovar is an unspoilt and unexplored island, envoloped by the most serene backwaters, and opening out to the sea and a dream golden sand beach.

    Shanghumugham Beach :
This is a favorite haunt of sunset viewers. The beach is adjacent to the Thiruvananthapuram ( Trivandrum ) airport and Veli Tourist Village.etc

Kerala is blessed with a lot of stunning beaches. Kerala beaches are located along the state coastline on the Arabian Sea. Some major important beaches in Kerala are Kovalam Beah, Varkala Beach etc Kovalam Beach is famous for action. It is the most developed beaches in Kerala. Location of Kovalam beach is in Thiruvanathapuram. The best time to visit here is from October to February. Varkala Beach is famous for chill out. We have a lot of scenery here. We can go to a yoga class, ayurvedic treatment and also we can visit Janardhanaswamy temple.
