During my stay in italian Pisa in May 2012 I needed to rent a car. Ordering and paying 100% of my rental made 14 days prior to travel easily over their web page per VISA card from my home in Prague. Everything seemed perfect and simple, price, type of car, conditions suit at first sight.

Unfortunately, there is positive references to this company ends … After my arrival and car pick-up at the airport in Pisa is paid an amount of deposit 1200Euro amount as a guarantee, that cancels the return of the vehicle. This is the first surprise with which the traveler meets. According to the employee at the counter of the indicated conditions of the contract for hire, see here http://www.globel-cars.com/agb.aspx?lang=en-GB. Granted, this thing can be cool to accept. The transaction on the spot VISA card was the same as before. Payment was accepted by the recipient.

The third issue related to finance but suddenly hit the impossibility of performance: the car is hired by the company with an empty tanks to be filled 100%. This is done using the payment card, which in this case was about 95Euro. Suddenly, it was not possible. In this case, the system only accepts ****** card, not debit VISA, which I 5 minutes ago paid the deposit. I use it while the world over 20 years and have not been anywhere with it problems of this type. Why make it deposit payment and other payments not? However after the first payment over the internet and print an invoice is stated, “****** card transaction.” Who has to be conversant with it? I was willing to pay cash for fuel, which was not possible – ****** card only.

So, in this situation at the airport abroad, late evening, the only possible solution: the abolition of the whole transaction, of course, without claim for payment on the spot. The deposit was canceled and luckily I got the information from the employee that the payment of rental will be returned to Prague after coming upon written request. And I did, and sent email to two different available address. Without any response, as I expected.

Worth mentioning is also the principle of payment for fuel: as I mention above, it is necessary to pay for full tank (about 60L). In case of the tank ignores the rest, that is not deducted from the return. Attention is also on this detail. That’s about but will practice of “quality” of this spanish rental office …

A similar confusion when I was an ordinary car hire more experienced. Therefore, I want to share with all those who intend to rent a car from this company: great care and advice to think twice before payment. Holt for the error applies.
