There are three musicians who I have identified with for a long time – it is extremely rare when you find a musician who has many songs you enjoy.

    Don Williams
My favorite classic country singer – humble, down to earth, popular overseas. The following is taken directly from Don’s listing on the Country Music Hall of Fame Bio page:

“Onstage, Williams steadily built a large and loyal following. In addition to his domestic audience, he won fans worldwide, selling records in the British Isles, Europe, Latin America, and Australia. He is one of the few country stars who has toured in Africa; his DVD Into Africa draws upon his performances on that continent.

Among country’s major acts, Don Williams is perhaps the least enamored of his success. Commenting on his reputation as a superstar, he said, “The only way that I would be comfortable with that sort of title is when people tell me that my music has helped them through some stage in their life. . . .”

    Hilary Hahn
a super talented Grammy award winning violinist, Hilary regularly performs with the world’s elite symphonies. Also a prolific writer and traveler.

    Neil Diamond
this international super star has been performing since the 1960s – he has given his audiences hit after hit. This incredibly talented singer and song writer continues to perform.

Hilary Hahn is a legend. She is a master of the art of handling the Violin. This special character is my inspiration and role model as well.

Hahn’s official website includes a section entitled “By Hilary”. In the Strings Magazine interview, Hahn said that the idea for her “Postcards from the Road” feature originated during an outreach visit to a third-grade class in upstate New York.

The class was doing a geography project in which the students asked everyone that they knew who was traveling to send postcards from the cities that they were visiting, in order to learn more about the world. Hahn decided to participate after receiving a positive reaction from her suggestion that she take part as well.

Thanks for posting – I can’t get enough of her music 🙂
