Going to Oahu

Im going on a trip to oahu in march…staying in waikiki at the sheraton moana surfrider. I was just wondering if the island is easily navigable by car and how long it would take to drive from honolulu to the north shore of the island. also, what beaches do you recommend we visit on the island??

My brother is going to Oahu in 3 days – you might want to email him the week of the 16th – as he is visiting several beaches, will drive around the island, and is renting a car. I will email you directly with his contact info.
