Seeing the World One Step at a Time
The official Uffizi Gallery DVD has been recently released. The oldest museum in the world, located in Florence, can now be visited in virtual form, through the 3D reconstructions that tell its story and show unseen walks in the Gallery and along the Vasariano Corridor. The project has been realized with a team of thirty employees after three years of work. Two months of filming in historic locations (Vasari’s house in Arezzo, the historical rooms of the Uffizi, etc.), spectacular 3D reconstructions on the computer and special digital editing effects using the green screen technique have all gone into making the DVD “Gli Uffizi”. The dvd is available in english and italian and, in addition to a little book of 80 pages, can be found on sale in all major museums in Italy and abroad, at the cost of 24€.
