How could i go about contacting Richie?? Does he have an email address? I’m interested in a visit and also trying to learn his tactics for building the island and surviving on it.

If I could drive my baby Z there, I would move in tomorrow. Does he need a wife?

Hello. Richie Sowa is my uncle and for anybody who is interested, i made a really bad website a while ago at http://www.geocities.com/spiral_island it has some quite good photos on it, despite the site looking a little primative, and some of the links might not work. anyway….live the dream

As of December 22, 2004, a new web log journal of Richie Sowa’s Spiral Island has been made available.

I originally built the first web site for my friend Richie Sowa but costs to maintain it on Apple’s .Mac platform were prohibitive so I scrapped the site in search of a new method to spread the word for him. I finally got around to creating a more flexible Blogger site journal for Richie’s man-made wonder this evening and look forward to stories and comments from those that are curious about the island, or have visited Richie.

I have over 1200 photos and 1 hour of digital video of the island when it was first made back in 2000-2001.

To visit the web log visit:

Do anybody knows what happened with spiral island and Rich Sowa. Some people said that a hurricane destroyed the island? If somebody have photos, please post it here or post links to it.
Thanks from a Brasilian Fan of Rich Sowa

Does anyone have an update on Richie Sowa? Is he still “sailing” on his floating island – where is he now?

    Thanks
