I was stumbling through the chaotic streets of Phuket one night after a few drinks and ran into a light pole. Taped on the side of this concrete pole was a flyer – indicating adventure at hand. Adventure for wanderlust nomads wanting to see the world from a sailboat. It boasted of blue lagoons cristal water swimming with tropical fishes, exploring remote islands, relaxing on deck and learning the ropes of sailing.

“Sea Gypsy Life = Back to Nature” was also written on this flyer.

    Interested parties should email baptifuli@hotmail.com

    Cheers

I first saw these posters and little leaflets on telegraph poles around Ao Nang about 7 years ago on my first visit to Thailand.
I am back in Thailand again and was really surprised to see the very same posters here in Koh Lipe.
Thought I would google it this morning to see what’s up and your blog was top of the list.

    Hi Dave,

I am a freelance journalist and I also took one of those leaflets from a tree at Ton Sai Beach in Krabi, Thailand, a few weeks ago. Googling it led me to this blog.

I am planning to write a piece on adventure tourism and am currently looking for people that have gone on that very same sailing trip or something similar. Did anybody reach out to you? Or, if anybody reads this and is willing to share their experiences (anonymously, if this is wished), please feel free to contact me at florencewild1989@gmail.com.

    Best,
    Florence

    Hi Dave and Florence,
found the same flyer this past November while in Railay – and googling got to this post; I and my nephew (who is a professional sailer) would be interested; if you have any additional info please post!
    Cheers
