Hi Olle,
I am friend of Dave and he forwarded me your jungle trip request I don’t think I can join you around that period of time as I might be in oversea. But, if you are interest to come to Peninsular after this pls do let me know, I live in Penang an tiny island located in the northern part of Peninsular I’ll be more than happy to be your tour guide to show you around.

Email: teh_chin_liang@hotmail.comMy brother traveled in the Dominican Republic not too long ago and he found it extremely easy to travel. He rented a car – great beaches and friendly people.
I’ve also found the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to be pretty nice – especially the Xcalak area just north of the Belize border.
I have friends who rave about the diving and beautiful water on the Island of Bonaire and also Roatan (just off the northern Honduras coast).

I took the backpacker survey – easy to follow and fill out – takes just a few minutes of your time. Good to do if you’ve ever been to the UK

Additionally, Lonely Planet’s Thorntree and Robert Pelton Young’s Black Flag Cafe would be good places to post your request.

Awesome – thanks very much for the information. I will research the sites you posted and will look at using them in an upcoming article about Granada on this website.
I had a great time in Granada and especially enjoyed all the events that took place in the evening – poetry read, German band, classical music etc. The blue crater Lake Apoyo was stunning and doesn’t seem like its really been discovered by tourists yet. If Apoyo was in California there would be multi million dollar homes all around the shores. We stayed at the Monkey Hut and took transportation from the Bearded Monkey in Granada.
My favorite restaurant of the ones I tried in Granada was El Tercer Ojo. We also ate at Asia Latina as well as a few others whose names I don’t have atm. I was surprised to find some Thai dishes on the menu of Asia Latina- my wife is from Thailand and was able to give some good critiques on the Thai food!
Regards,
~ Dave
