ANGELS CAMP
COLUMBIA
- Christopher’s at City Hotel Restaurant is an excellent restaurant. They serve French food in a fancy restored building. Their prices are in the high 20 dollar range. They are closed Mondays. They are located in Columbia Historic Park. Phone Number (209) 532-1479.
- El Jardin serves Mexican food and is located on main street at 22758 Parrotts Ferry Road. Good food and service are found here – its a cozy restaurant with patio dining. Phone: (209) 532-1291
- The Nugget Cafe is located across the street from historic Columbia at 22758 Parrotts Ferry Rd. Known for breakfasts but also for their hamburgers. Open Thursday through Sunday from 8 to 2pm. Reasonably priced – makes a nice stop before or after visiting Columbia State Park.
COULTERVILLE
- Coulter Cafe is located at 5015 Main Street. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have been in their present location for as long as Dave can remember – at one point they changed names or owners, but are now back to being called the Coulter Cafe. This also functions as the town’s general store, since the larger general store located at the intersection of Highway 49 and 132 closed a few years back.
The food is above average and the prices are reasonable. Most dinner entrees range from $9 to $13. Good spot for a morning coffee. For more information call Phone Number (209) 878-0100.
- Gold Country Bistro Not many options for food in this tiny town, but this is a good one for breakfast. Husband wife owners – a diversity of coffees, croissants and sandwiches. Biscuits & Gravy and soups & salads. Local products. Small, homey. Location: 5010 Main St.
- Old Johnny Haigh Saloon Address: 5009 Main Street. Like walking into an old western saloon. Not sure how old it is but it looks old. Live music sometimes – also karaoke for you western crooners.
GREELEY HILL
It is extremely difficult to run a small restaurant in towns of this size. The Greeley Hill Market has basic options. We have seen restaurants come and go over the years including Rosemary’s Cafe and Yosemite Sams.
- 9 Diamonds BBQ is located just down the street from the Greely Hill store at 6430 Greeley Hill Road, Suite B. Small one story center – also features the region’s real estate office (always a great place to stop in for the local scoop). Small parking lot but ample for the space. This small cafe is surrounded by several other small businesses. 9 Diamonds is a good place to meet the locals. Not from the area and taking the back roads into Yosemite, be sure to stop here 🙂
GROVELAND
- Grill @ Pine Mountain Lake – is located at 12765 Mueller Drive. This is in the Pine Mountain Lake neighborhood (a gated and private residential association) located within a few minutes drive of Groveland. This restaurant, however – is open to the public. Their 16,000 foot restaurant overlooks the Pine Mountain Lake Golf Course with views on a clear days of the ‘high’ country beyond. Free wifi and music on most Saturday nights. Breakfast only served on the weekends – rest of the week they serve lunch and dinner. Visit: www.pinemountainlake.com/

- Pizza Factory – is located at 18583 Main St just west of the center of historic Groveland.
Open 10 to 10pm daily. Order a variety of pizzas at the bar as well as calzones and pasta. Meat, artichoke, chicken, Greek, the diversity of pizza is endless. You can even order a Groveland Special!
- Priest Station Cafe – is a great place to enjoy a quiet breakfast especially on their deck overlooking old Priest Grade and the steep canyon. This cafe is run by long time in the area Anker Family (6 generations) – son Conrad is well-known in the mountain climbing world for discovering George Mallory’s body on Mount Everest in 199 and a number of other climbing adventures around the world. He also starred in the epic climbing film Meru (highly recommended). Conrad’s brother works at this cafe. Visit: www.prieststation.com
