Missoula has an abundance of art galleries compared to most of the towns in Montana. All numbers listed below are in the (406) area code.

  • Art Museum of Missoula is located at 335 North Pattee Street. They are open Tuesday 12pm until 8pm and then again from Wednesday through Sunday from 12pm until 6pm. This contemporary art museum is located in downtown. Features 3 galleries with changing exhibits and a museum shop. Tuesday admission is free. Phone Number 728-0447. www.missoulaartmuseum.org
  • Bob Rummel Gallery is located at 901 South West Higgins Ave. Phone Number 728-8437. Visit: www.bobrummel.com
  • Chris Frandsen Studio is located at 420 East Beckwith Ave. They are open by appointment only. They sell original oils, watercolors, and drawings of Montana. They carry still life’s, floral paintings, and art furniture. Commissions are accepted. Phone Number 728-0918. www.chrisfrandsenart.com
  • Dana Gallery is located at 123 West Broadway. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am until 5:30pm. They are closed on Sunday. They sell lots of photography; everything from black and white to digitized images. Montana based photographers are prominently displayed. Phone Number 721-3154. www.danagallery.com
  • Eye of the Beholder Art Gallery & Custom Framing is located at 2230 North Reserve Street in the Northgate Plaza. Phone Number 543-2787.
  • Gallery of Visual Arts is located on the University of Montana campus in the Social Science Building. Phone Number 243-2813.
  • LA Design Custom Framing is located at 207 East Main Street. They are open Monday through Friday from 9am until 5:30pm. On Saturday they are open from 10am until 4pm. They offer national award winning custom framing. They sell original home furnishings and art by several artists. Wrought iron is also sold here. Phone 543-5077.
  • Monte Dolack Gallery used to be located at 139 West Front Street. While no longer maintain a retail outlet, they still accept visits by appointments. They sell a large collection of prints and other nationally published artists. Phone Number 549-3248 or Phone Number 1-800-825-7613. www.dolack.com
  • University Center Gallery is located on the campus of the University of Montana, in the University Union on the second floor. They are open Monday through Friday from 10am until 4pm. Exhibits are constantly changing and they feature artists from the northwest. Phone Number 243-6661.
  • Wm. Gamradt Gallery & Studio is located at 111 West Front Street. Phone Number 542-3313. Visit: www.gamradtgallery.com
