I started this travel diary in 2011 as a way to document all my trips for my family and friends. Originally from Connecticut, I traded the east coast life for the metropolitan charms of Chicago. When I’m not traveling, I’m busy as a full-time fundraiser for the arts.

Jess is twenty-something travel enthusiastic who spends days dreaming about where to jet off to on her next adventure. She also enjoys adding shoes and handbags to her collection, listening to Beyoncé, and driving her parents crazy.

I’m Jess! I was born and raised in the suburbs of Boston, went to school at Boston University, and have lived in the city ever since. I’m passionate about all things travel, especially experiencing different cultures and attempting to learn new languages. I attribute my case of the travel bug partly to my childhood and the many family vacations my parents took us on (particularly cruises).

I openly state this site has a self-serving purpose of assisting me with organizing, documenting, and archiving my travel experiences. However, to the extent this site helps others plan or enhance their travel experience that is nearly as gratifying. Traveling can be a very selfish activity so I find it rewarding to help others so that they may benefit from my past experience.
