My name is Uliana, I am 29 years old and as you may guess I am fond of exploring this big and incredible world. I was born in Kiev, Ukraine and I am living and working there between my travels.

Not only would I like to use this blog as a tool for collating all our fantastic adventures at home and abroad, but I would also like to share the information and inspire other parents out there, who may interested in some of the places we’ve visited and the things we’ve done.

My Travel Tools was created to showcase my own personal travels but more importantly to assist fellows travelers with tips, tricks, and tools for traveling around the world efficiently and cheaply. As I continue developing my website additional custom tools and visualizations will be created to simplify how people book, plan, and share their travels.

It may sound a bit cliche but when I was 13 and worked at a bakery (a very well-known bakery to be exact: Bakkerij Hartog in Amsterdam), the elderly owner, Mr Hartog, gave me the valuable advice not listen to what everyone would tell me but to travel the world instead. He said that this would eventually broaden my horizon more than anything else. As the man proposed, I travelled the world. During my studies I lived in Vienna, Sydney and even spent a full year in Macau, China. I backpacked and did research all around Asia, the USA, Australia and went on a solo trip through Colombia. Not even to mention the trips through Europe. In short, I followed the old man’s advice.
