Here at Monkey Abroad, you can find videos, advice, and stories about the life abroad. I created this blog with the hope that I can inspire you to pursue your own dream of overseas traveling and living!

Not quite a rebel, but certainly not one to accept life on terms other than my own, I left everything behind in 2013 to travel the world in search of exotic scenery, strange food, and comically uncomfortable situations. Monkey On A Bus is the story of my journey.

I'm Laurel, a former Program Director from Canada now living in Munich, Germany. I love traveling, diving, and hiking. I'm also an animal enthusiast with a special affinity for monkeys, cats and sharks.

Show me a starry sky, a mountain range, a beautifully crafted building, a painting, or a rainbow. Let me hear a symphony, an opera, or a folk singer on the street corner. I want to see as much of the beauty this world has to offer in the little time I have on this planet. I want to travel more of the road.

We are Dale and Livia – A husband and wife team who loves to experience life, adventure, travel and little luxuries along the way. We soak up experiences and treasure each day, being grateful for all the opportunities to experience natural and man-made beauty all around us. More Than Route 66 travel blog was born from my passion (some may say obsession) of several years travelling throughout the USA. I’m a dedicated passionate traveller and travel writer originally from Perth, Western Australia, now residing in Brisbane, Queensland.

this blog is based on my experiences I’ve gathered on this beautiful planet so far and which I will hopefully continue to gather, may it be one hour away from home or on the other side of the globe. First of all: for traveling you do not have to reach the most distant destination, climb the highest mountain or do the most adventurous expedition, beginning small is the right motto.
