One of the world\'s great undiscovered destinations - the Desert of the Empty Quarter at night - silence, cold, stars. Nobody. Wadi Bashing, Muscat. Empty glistening white sand beaches. Corral. Culture. Camels. Wow.

These ruins are all that\'s left of Khor Rouri, one of the most important trading centers of the world during Roman times. It was a major trading post for the aromatic frankincense, a coveted spice during ancient times
A blowhole spews seawater with quite some force. They are formed when ocean waves crash into limestone cliffs with tubelike holes that are dozens of feet long and turn up into the open air
Like some prehistoric beasts, this herd of camels grazes in a lush valley in southern Oman. Otherwise a desert, some canyons capture the moisture of the monsoon and allow for near tropical microclimates.
