Queensland is actually a state rather than a city – and it’s pretty big! So not sure where in Queensland your two listings for there are located??
Brisbane is the capital of Queensland, and is also pretty big (by Australian standards). I haven’t lived there, so can’t advise, but all facilities/amenities are available there, and it’s a good central location for visiting other parts of OZ (as I’m sure you will want to do!)
Lismore is is Northern New South Wales (NSW), and is only a couple of hours from Brisbane. It’s a smaller city, but still has all facilities/amenities. The Northern NSW area is spectacular – and has a good cross section of different types of places within a fairly short distance. It’s about a 30 – 40 minute drive from the coast.
