How Much Luggage You Can Check on Business Class Flights to London

September 14, 2026 by Daniela RobertsLeave a Comment

You know exactly what I’m talking about. You are in your bedroom with your suitcase laid out on your bed, looking at the clutter and thinking, how am I supposed to manage to fit all of that into my suitcase? The weather in London is quite unpredictable. You have to attend various dinners, meetings, see sights, and somehow manage to pack all of that without overloading yourself.

But there is an easy solution for you. When you take your business class flights to London, UK, you have enough space. Almost all airlines provide you with the possibility to check in two suitcases, and each of them weighs up to thirty-two kilograms. That’s seventy pounds for one suitcase. Two of them. So now that heavy winter coat doesn’t seem to be such a burden. You will manage to pack two pairs of shoes. You will take that smart suit and your everyday clothing.

Finnair’s official baggage policy confirms business class checked baggage allowance can reach up to 32kg per piece on long-haul routes, including flights to the UK.

That’s a proper allowance. The kind that actually makes a difference when you’re standing at the check-in desk.

The Fine Print

Now comes the tricky part. The rule is not universal among all airlines. British Airways adheres to the 32 kilograms of baggage policy for both bags on long-haul flights.

Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class gives you two bags as well, but they cap it at 23kg each. Some airlines work on a total- weight system, where you can spread the weight across different bags. Others are strict about the “per piece” rule and won’t budge.

The smart move is checking before you start throwing things into your suitcase. The airline’s website tells you exactly what you’re entitled to. Two minutes of reading can save you from that awful moment at the airport when you have to repack everything in front of a queue of impatient travellers.

The Carry-On Situation

Business class also gives you a decent carry-on allowance. Two items, usually. A proper cabin bag and something smaller, like a laptop case or handbag. That’s where you put the essentials. Passport. Medication. Charger. Spare shirt. If your checked bags go missing, you’re not left with nothing.

Priority tags are another bonus. Your luggage gets a special label and usually comes out first at Heathrow. That saves you from standing at the carousel for twenty minutes while everyone else grabs their things and disappears.

Packing Without the Headache

Knowing your allowance takes the stress out of the whole thing. You can pack properly instead of playing suitcase Tetris. London trips are supposed to be exciting, not stressful. The luggage allowance is generous enough that you can actually enjoy the preparation.

If you’re still unsure about the specifics, the airline’s website has all the details. A quick check and you’re sorted. When you book business class flights to London, UK through Business-Tickets, the whole process is straightforward. No hidden surprises at the airport. Just a proper allowance and a stress-free journey.
