Enjoying the Cuisine

February 18, 2011 by Dave2 Comments

Mosaic restaurant is the “signature” restaurant at Zitahli resort. Each day we pop in for lunch and every lunch we order a Brazilian Capirinha. I fell in love with this drink after visiting Brazil in 09′ and purposely seek it out when there is a bar at hand. Needless to say, seafood is a big part of the menu and its not often you can catch your own fish, fresh from the ocean the day before and have a fancy restaurant prepare it as your lunch. we enjoyed an “all raw” lunch with sashimi and a delicately prepared ceviche.

How often can one find such delicious food on such a small island! Its amazing as well that this type of luxury exists in such a remote location. Continuing the theme of food we enjoyed a private candlit 5 course dinner on the beach (no wind tonight thank goodness). This dinner was arranged a day in advance by selecting several specially prepared menu’s including a Gaspacho Trio, Grilled Reef Lobster and a local Rainbow Fish. The dinner was complemented With a full International wine list – wooo!
