I’m not Bangkok native but so far I think these places are interesting for kids :
– Snake farm
– Takinig the boat along the Chao Phraya river
– If you like shopping, Chatujak Market (the Weekend market)
– Ayudthaya Province, one of the former capital cities of Thailand which has nice ancient ruins
– Damnoen Saduak floating market (1.5-2 hours driving to south of Bangkok)
