    Mammoth Lakes Fine Arts Festival
    This event, typically held in early August each year gives attendees the opportunity to learn about the inspiration and process from the artists themselves. The event is open to the public and free of charge taking place on the grounds of Kittredge Sports, at the corner of Highway 203 (Main Street) and Forest Trail in Mammoth Lakes. At the festival will be photographers, jewelers, painters, print makers, wood workers, potters and more, all selling their wares in the price range for all pocketbooks.     Sierra Summer Festival. The Eastern Sierra Symphony orchestra typically holds this event in early August.

September

    Mammoth Lakes Basin Fall Trout Derby
    Labor Day Festival of the Arts at Mammoth Lakes

    110 artists to celebrate all things trout in beautiful forest setting, surrounded by family fun, food and live entertainment. Family fun will be plentiful in the Eastern Sierra this Labor Day Weekend as Mammoth Lakes celebrates all things trout and the art of fishing with its Annual Labor Day Festival of the Arts.

    In addition to the 110 fine art and contemporary craft booths, activities will include live music, trout cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, food and beer from local restaurants, fishing product booths, roving entertainment and a special kid zone with trout-related games and contests.

    The festival is held at Sam’s Wood Site, a 4 – acre forested area on Minaret Road between Main Street and Meridian. Admission and parking are free. For more information about the Annual Labor Day Festival of the Arts at Mammoth Lakes, call 760/873-7242.
