By sharing my travel stories I hope to encourage other Boomers to take the plunge and explore this amazing world of ours. The diversity and culture surprises are endless. Some definitely have a shock factor, but others are unique and colourful, filled with warm souls who will provide memories forever. Travel can be a delicate balance but as is often quoted “The World is a Book and Those Who Don’t Travel Read only One Page”.

I’m always in search for the unique and different, and I’m down to go just about anywhere. Just ask my family, my friends, or anyone that knows me. I was bit by the travel bug a pretty young age and it was game over! My first solo trip was to Thailand and I spent about a month and a half exploring the country on my own, making and meeting some lifelong friends along the way. I’ve had the opportunity, and I’m forever grateful to have traveled to over 27 Countries, and I’m always adding new ones…

The way I see it, I was born to travel. I’m half Irish rover and half Slovak gypsy, so wandering is definitely in my blood. Why do I call myself a giraffe? Well, at 5’10”, I tend to tower over a crowd, so I often resemble a giraffe – a very tall, very blond giraffe, which means I don’t blend in anywhere. (Except maybe Norway.)

I am here to introduce you to tips and tricks on living the ultimate gyp-set lifestyle. I have been globetrotting since day one – and not always with sufficient means to do so – but international travel and living in different countries is my passion. And if a little luxury is thrown in there, all the better. – Tai Yuni
