I caught a case of the travel bug early in life. Even the business travel required by my first job in corporate communications sealed my incurable state. Many times I thought, “They’re really paying me to travel?"

My work has allowed me to travel to an assortment of different places. I have lived in the Ootty Mountains in India, writing an investigative feature on the changing lifestyle of an ancient tribe. I spent two weeks trekking in Japan, writing quirky and interesting anecdotes about Japanese youth culture for a variety of different Sydney newspapers. Wherever my travels take me, I always have a notebook in hand.

SnarkyNomad is a pretentious English major whose rant-laden sarcastic tirades occasionally include budget travel tips and other international nonsense. Have fun!

Our names are Tyler & Melissa. We are both born and raised in Southern Alberta. Over the last few years we have been doing the 1 week all inclusive trips with our traveling friends or family. The big adventure for us was our 2 week visit to Europe to visit friends. So this is why we are changing our life around to do some more traveling! We have a goal for Europe this summer, which is our “test”.

We're Kim and Brian and we have one goal: Sell our stuff, quit our jobs, and crawl (claw?) our way out of our cubicles to travel the world.
