Currently based in Melbourne, Australia and busy planning what fantastic adventures 2010 is going to hold, I decided it was time to put ideas into action and bring this site to life. Part diary, part magazine, part Q and A column, my hope is that it can provide both resources and inspiration to help you - and me - live the travel dream at least a little every day.

Along the way, I realized that there are some things that are just out of my budgets (fly to space), others that require a bit of groundwork (go on a dinosaur dig) and more still that required a big connection or luck (meet the Dalai Lama). It doesnt mean its impossible. It just means Ill have to think outside the box a bit. This is why I created Where and Wander.

You know what, I dont even know. But I can tell you this, I’ve caught a bad case of wanderlust, I’m about as subtle as a train-wreck, and I lack the use of an indoor voice. If I had a penny for every time I’ve heard the sound, “shhhhh” directed at me, I would never have to work again.
