Seeing the World One Step at a Time

The Best Israel Tours and the Right Time to Visit the Country

September 11, 2016 by Dan BLeave a Comment

jerusalem-3Israel is a great country to visit because it has so many things to offer regardless of the type of traveler you are. Whether you love engaging in cultural immersions, knowing more about history, discovering unique cuisines or simply hanging by the coastline and watching the sunset, Israel has something for you. But like any other country, there will always be the perfect time to visit Israel. When would that be?

The truth is, engaging in the best tours is possible at any time of the year. But determining the perfect time to travel will generally depend on what you want to do and what interests you. Here are some suggestions for you.

Booking the best Israel tours during the rainy season of February to May

Many people consider February to be the best time to visit the country because tourism is in its low season. This means that you can get the best Israel tours, hotel accommodation and even restaurant deals at much lower prices. Bear in mind though that this is the start of the rainy days but if you don’t mind wearing your rain gear while touring, there are many places where you can see stunning fields covered with grass and wildflowers such as the Golan Heights and the hills of Judea.

Throughout the following months, you can join a variety of festivities and holidays in the country especially in March. In April, religious pilgrims are a common sight. This is also the month when many tourists come. In short, it tends to be crowded in April with prices of many tourist-related services going up.

The month of May tends to be the ideal time to visit the country, as the rainy season is ending and the tourists are becoming few. It’s also another month of Jewish festivals and Israeli holidays.

The sunny months of June to August are perfect for beaches

jerusalem-israel-7The days between July and August tend to be hot, but thankfully, there are many beaches that are just within or a few walks away from the cities. In Tel Aviv, you can enjoy the festive weekends on the beach as there will be parties, music and drumbeats along the coastlines. If you want to get away from the crowded beaches once in a while during your vacation, you can book the best Israel tours you can find to take you to the various natural wonders and significant man-made landmarks located far away from the cities.

Take note though that there will also be lots of tourists, especially family travelers, during the months from June to August considering that it’s the children’s school break. But because of the sunny weather, the beaches, streams and oases are where most people go, which means that you have more breathing room when you want to explore the museums.

Festive season during Christmas celebrations

Having a significant role in the history of Christianity, Israel becomes a popular holiday destination during the Christmas season from December to January. The best Israel tours can bring you to the noteworthy places of Bethlehem and Jerusalem. If you want to join the midnight mass held in the Church of the Nativity, you will have to book your tickets in advance. Your travel agency may be able to secure your tickets.
