Luxury travel is an affair that is no longer the preserve of the few. Indeed, over the last few decades, a new generation of traveller has emerged: one that was has been inquisitive enough to venture beyond the confines of the short-haul package holiday from a young age.
With parents placing a greater emphasis on the importance of travel, this passion for exploration has been definitively been passed on to the new generation of traveller, who is more adventurous and keen to explore the world. And they’re certainly willing to pay the price to enjoy the finer things in life, with young travellers spending approximately £1,200 per trip and self-designated backpackers spending up to £1,400.
Not only have the destinations changed for these travellers, but so too has the way in which they view travel. This new generation is travelling more frequently, to more exotic locales and they are more committed than ever to sharing their adventures with their friends online.
