A Visit to Khujand in Tajikistan

May 1, 2024 by Dave3 Comments

Trying to find a shared taxi in Tashkent for the ride to Oybek on the Tajikistan border turned into an effort in futility. After getting directions where to go from my hotel and after a 35-minute drive I arrived at the provided destination to discover an empty parking lot. Walking over to one of the nearby metro stops I asked one of the officers in Russian using Google translate and she then directed me to another metro stop another 30+ minutes … [Read more...]

Unless you’re in possession of a season ticket – or a very large bank account(!) - having the opportunity to see them once again play on the hallowed turf of the … [Read more...]

Slovenia is one of the world's most in-depth countries in terms of its diversity, but at the same time, it is one of the smallest, with it taking as little as 3 hours to drive across. March 15, 2024 by Michelle Lawson1 Comment

Marrakech backstreet

Why go to Marrakech, Morocco's fifth-largest city? For a start, Marrakech is an ideal destination to discover a taste of North Africa combined with French influence. But it may feel that every traveler is alongside you as you take a … [Read more...]
