| Erick Schat's Bakery is located
right on main street in the heart of central Bishop. This is a very
popular stop with tourists and especially crowded in the summer. It
is a great place for unique freshly baked bread as well as pastries.
In addition to the bakery there is a also a deli on site as well as
a gift shop. Visit:

| The Thai American Restaurant
is located near Taco Bell in downtown Bishop. The food here is very
average but I've never eaten in a Thai/Western restaurant before. I
never thought I would eat in a Thai restaurant and hear Willie
Nelson and Patsy Cline hits coming out of the speakers. This
restaurant has an interesting western decor. Open for lunch and
dinner. A note on the door indicated they were no longer open for
breakfast as they had ran out of help. |
| The Upper Crust Pizza Company is located
at 1180 N. Main Street. Gourmet pizzas - good Italian carbo loading
here. Great for those hungry times after hiking or fishing. Phone:

located downtown at 524 N. Main Street. They serve American style
cuisine and are rated 2 stars. They have a country style decor
with a gift shop. Dress is casual. The prices range from $10 to
$22 for dinner. I found the food to be all right, nothing
exceptional. 760-873-7174. |
