Traveling to italy...cell phone?

me and my family are traveling to Italy in December. I need to use my cellphone there, but its too expensive if i take a plan with Rogers, $2/min. is there any inexpensive way to make calls there in Italy, using my phone. Do you guys know any reliable international phone companies that will give me a cheap plan for two weeks. I would only need about 1 hour of talk time.

Any help would be appreciated.

Choose one of the roaming facility providers in Italy to make calls. If you feel it is expensive, then the only option is to install Skype in your mobile and calling through it.
