Recently StoryBy contacted me about adding some of my articles to their community platform. The site is fairly new but the power of community submitted content is already clearly evident – they already have hundreds of posts ranging from topics as diverse as travel, seasonal holidays, adventure, style, food and much more.
I’ve submitted several stories already – the process is simple and straight forward. Create an account – verify it via email, login and then add the text and upload the photos, tag the content by topic and click save. Voila, you are done – once the piece has been approved it will show up on their main page. There is always some satisfaction merely from seeing your content on the main page of a site.
StoryBy pays for contributors for content. All stories are assigned points based on the popularity of each story – based on readership,social media sharing and advertising revenue. If your story performs, the payout can be quite nice. StoryBy divides 2/3 of it’s earnings among their users (based on the points that each user earns).
