John has provided technical advice and support since this site was founded. He enjoys world travel, photography, sailing & piloting private planes. John is an accomplished violinist - he is a former member of Stanford University's Symphony Orchestra and the UC Davis Symphony Orchestra.

In addition, he has extensive travel experience in Europe, the United States and South East Asia. John is a true RTW'er (Round The World Traveler) - he spent most of the first half of 2011 on a sailboat in the South Pacific after crossing the Pacific in 24 days and later on another RTW trip covering Europe and Asia.

He is currently living a location independent lifestyle - with a "home-base" in Verona Italy while running a full service online Hotel Reservation booking system - Reservation Key.

Greenland – The World’s Coolest Place

Exploring the World as Paying Crew

Unlike chartering which requires experience, and that you start and finish from a charter base, you usually don't need any sailing experience and you have many more choices of where in the world your trip will start.
