Since it is never too early to find out about big music events and festival season is about to kick off, let’s turn our attention to Lisbon, Portugal because from July 14th until the 16th it will host the 17th edition of the Super Bock Super Rock, one of the biggest rock festivals in Portugal.
I have to be a bit more precise, as the actual place of the festival is Meco, Sesimbra which is about 40km away from Lisbon which make this an excellent opportunity to rent apartments in Lisbon around these dates to not only go to the festival but also spend a couple of relaxing days in the Portuguese capital afterwards.
In the past many big international names in the music industry have performed at this festival. Last year artists such as Prince, The Pet Shop Boys, Vampire Weekend and Gossip were among the names of the programme and some of the artists that already confirmed to play this year are The Strokes, Ian Brown, The Walkmen, Arcade Fire, Artic Monkeys and Brandon Flowers.
As it is quire common for festivals and other big music events new upcoming artists will have an opportunity to present themselves in front of a big crowd. New artists can enter the competition “Super Bock Super Rock Preload Competition” and the first 3 winners will perform.
A big festival tradition is camping during the days of the festival on a designated camping site next to the festival site and everyone that purchases a ticket for the whole event will camp there for free.
So if you are an eager festival-goer who is in for the full experience including camping, I am sure you will need some rest after 3 days packed with music and beer in the sun, sleeping in a tent on an air mattress. There is no better way to wind down and regain some energy than renting Lisbon apartments to feel the comfort of your own home.
