The Occasional Traveller was started in 2010 by Jac, the eponymous deskbound wanderluster who dreams of sandy beaches and carefree holidays. The website is a collection of her occasional travels past and present, and a curation of things that inspire her to travel. She hopes TOT will make others like herself get up and travel!

My name is Graham Hughes. Im an adventurer, film-maker, travel blogger and TV presenter from Liverpool, England. On January 1 2009 I crossed the River Plate into Uruguay and began The Odyssey Expedition: The first official Guinness World Record attempt to visit every sovereign state on Planet Earth without flying.

I like to think of travel as recess for adults, an opportunity to play and escape from the everyday routine. It’s like hopping on Mr. Rogers‘ trolley and transporting to the Neighborhood of Make Believe. You get to be someone else (The Tourist) in a new place (Bali! Punta Cana! Detroit!) and create your own adventure. When you travel with a sense of wonder and an openness to a new environment, special things can and will happen.

40-somethings Evo Terra and Sheila Dee left the default lifestyle behind, adopting the digital nomad lifestyle to travel the world to become The Opportunistic Travelers.

We are a married couple with two very different tastes when it comes to travel. We take turns planning trips all over the world as a compromise. These are our experiences.
