Think glacier hiking in Patagonia and after a return to your 5 star hotel, a spa treatment based on Thai traditions followed by a dinner with local delicacies such as herb roasted lamb and a fine Malbec from the region. Perhaps it's an African safari outing before returning to your chic, modern suite with a private plunge pool and terrace open to the stars.

My name is Liz and I love traveling around the world on a budget. I have traveled to over 30 countries and there are so many more places to see in the world.

The Road to Anywhere is a comprehensive travel site covering all forms of world travel. It’s main focus is on independent, cultural and adventure travel, which are all documented through personal travel stories, destination tips and photography.

I discovered that I’ve been very privileged to see many parts of the globe from Auckland, New Zealand to Reykjavik, Iceland and many places in between. In addition to air travel, I’ve also had the fortune of exploring North America on countless Road Trips – hence the name of my blog, but like many of us, we can’t always be on Road Trips – to our great disappointment.

When I (David) was in college, I had the opportunity to roam the cities of Europe for 30 days each year. This experience made a profound, and lasting impact on my life. I developed a love for travel, a child-like curiosity, and a passionate sense of wonder as I viewed beautiful, and diverse landscapes. Fast forward thirty years, and I now find that I have successfully passed that adventurous spirit on to my wife. During the last twenty years, as business owners, we always set aside time to explore the world, visit great museums, hike wonderful trails, dine in fabulous restaurants, unwind in the finest resorts, and generally roam about with wide-eyed wonder.
