this travel lifestyle doesn’t pay for itself! As awesome and amazing as that sounds it’s really a tough life that a lot of travelers glorify but don’t tell you the full story. A story that normally includes not knowing where their next meal comes from or where they will lay their head for the night. I commend all of the full-time backpackers and “online travel hustlers” who have made that lifestyle work for them because I truly believe the gift of seeing the world is worth it.

"The Strange and New," just for the record, comes from a Robert Service poem called The Men That Don't Fit In. It's a poem dedicated to the gypsies, the wanderers, the nomads that find themselves circling our little blue dot. That poem and this website are meant for those who have their traveling paint set in hand, who globe-trot to become, and who yearn for experiences that are really just a series of interesting guesses. Or, you know, if you're looking for a laugh or an embarrassing personal travel story.

Traveling has opened up a completely new world for me and that’s why I’ve chosen to dedicate my life to explore it. During my travels I hope to learn more about my truest self and to gain a greater knowledge of the beauty within the world. There’s too much to see in this world to stay in one place forever. I’ll travel the world and let my heart guide me.
